I'll start by saying that I'm not (yet) a List Manager customer. I may take the plunge and buy this product, though, regardless of it not having my suggestions. No list manager program for WM has met what I'd like to see in a program, though this one does look intriguing. Toward the end of creating the "perfect list manager" I thought that I'd still venture to share my suggestions. If you want to skip my narratives, please scroll down.

HISTORY

I come from the Palm camp. I moved into WM because of several factors. However, in the attempt to replace my Palm list manager (Thought Manager www.handshigh.com) I have not yet found a list manager for WM that meets my needs. Tried List Pro, but quickly realized that just would not cut it for me. Thought Manager on the Palm came closer than any other list manager I've ever used to working the way I need it to work.

SUGGESTIONS

All that said, here are my suggestions for improvements to List Manager:

• Word wrap!!!
  One thing I could not live without, that Thought Manager (TM) gave me was that it wrapped my text. In fact, I could enter as long of a list item as I wanted, and it would simply wrap to accommodate my full text. Now granted, very long list items can look ugly, so I'd try to keep them down, but that it could wrap suited me very well. I'd like to see List Manager wrap it's main "text" entry points, if possible, to accommodate longer list items.
• Attach notes.
  Another feature of TM that I liked was the ability to attach, on a per list item basis, a note. Say I had a volume of text or notes on one of my list items, but it would be out of the question to type all of it as the list item itself, I could simply make a free-form note to attach to the list item. I could also attach little doodle drawings, but that's not essential for me.
• Nesting.
  Think MS Word outlines here. You're typing, entering your list items, but you can tab (or hit a button) to indent/nest some list items. Furthermore, would love for indented items to be collapsable into their parent items. Still furthermore, check-marking a parent item would also check-mark it's indented child items.

Such features would accommodate, for example, a single list called "Saturday Chores" could break down as follows:

INDOORS

Dust
Vacuum
Clean garage

OUTDOORS

Mow lawn
Turn on sprinklers
Apply fertilizer (there could be a note here describing the fertilizer, and the settings on the spreader)
Fix crack in sidewalk (another note detailing the concrete mix specifics)

SHOPPING

GROCERY LIST

Milk
Eggs
Sugar
Broccoli
Power Bars

HARDWARE

1/4" screws
Electrician's pliers
Tape measure (30+ feet)

OTHER

Sync my to-do list
Etc.

I think you can see where I'm going with this. Sorry for the novel, and perhaps I'm being unrealistic, but maybe you can implement some things like this, maybe not. So long as feedback/suggestions can't hurt... take them for what they're worth.

The reviews I've read about your product seem very nice, though, so I may just give this list product a try and see where it goes from there. I am very intrigued by the idea of synchronization you build into this product. Keep up the good work!!!
