I wanted to suggest that in your default Task List that you have the option of selecting 'No Date' or 'None' for a date. I understand that you can just create a task list using the 'Simple Task List' template, and that template does not have a date field in it...BUT I almost always use date fields in my task lists, but occasionally don't need a date for a particular task...

To have this option would be a little more helpful to me.
